SUMMARY
I worked with leadership to create a Mission Statement and Vision Statement poster to hang up at headquarters of a start-up in the commercial real estate industry. This was intended keep everyone on the same page and stay focused.
GOALS & OBJECTIVES
- Communicate clearly, but in an interesting way the Mission Statement and Vision statement of the company.
MY ROLE
- Concepted and designed a solution of posters that would fit in the panels of some of the office windows in an open area.
APPROACH
I strived to state away from a typical, boring company “propaganda” poster. So I wanted them to be relevant to the commercial real estate industry and reflect an app-style screen that represents the products we were building. I also wanted then to be eye-catching so people would not gloss over them.
PROCESS
Initial Content: Following an off-site, leadership came up with the copy for the posters and explained some of the requirements.
Sketches & Rough Comps: I looked for a good place in the open office where the posters could live, yet not be a distraction. Once I had some dimensions, I sketched some ideas and made some rough digital mock-ups. I photoshopped the rough comps in to actual photos of the space. I presented these options to leadership.
Final Design: Once the direction was picked, I bought some stock images and polished up the files.
